A Glider Nursing Chair with Smooth Movement and a Refined Finish

The Lena is a glider nursing chair with three distinctive design details. The smooth, quiet gliding and rotating motion on a horizontal track means it moves gently through a feeding session without the audible creak or sudden pitch that a rocking chair can carry. The signature Nuage performance bouclé upholstery gives it a soft, tactile finish that spot-cleans easily and holds its shape through daily use. The French-inspired tassel trim is where this glider chair for nursery use lifts beyond purely functional furniture, a hand-finished design detail that gives the piece a considered silhouette rather than the clinical proportions of most glider feeding chair options.

A Bouclé Nursery Chair for the Feeds and the Years Beyond Them

This bouclé nursing chair fits into the realities of new parenthood. Supportive cushioning for long feeding sessions means the chair holds the body properly through the extended stretches a newborn's schedule demands. Pair it with the matching Lena Ottoman, and the setup extends into full-body comfort, lifting the legs to relieve lower back tension during hour-long feeds. When the nursing stage passes, the graceful silhouette means this fabric nursing chair transitions naturally into a living room or bedroom reading chair rather than needing to be stored or replaced. It reads as considered furniture rather than a piece defined by its original function, which is what it shares with the broader range of nursing chairs in the Nuage collection — a nursery glider chair kept because it earns its place in the home well beyond the first few years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the chair recline or only glide?

The Lena glides. It's a smooth, gentle motion designed for soothing and settling, rather than reclining. Pair with the matching Lena Ottoman for full-body comfort during longer feeds.

How easy is the fabric to clean?

The signature Nuage performance bouclé is designed to be wipeable. Spot clean with a soft damp cloth for everyday marks. For tougher spills, a mild soap solution blotted gently works well. For best results, the Wonderspot Encapsulating Spot Cleaner is specifically formulated to protect and preserve the fabric.

Does it arrive assembled?

Yes. The Lena arrives fully assembled. No need for any tools.

How much space does the gliding motion need?

The glider needs minimal clearance, as it moves on a smooth horizontal track rather than rocking outward. We recommend a small buffer at the back of the chair to avoid contact with the wall. Specific clearance is shown on the dimensions diagram.

Is it suitable for nursing twins?

Yes. The proportions of the Lena provide ample room for tandem feeding, and the supportive cushioning is well-suited to longer feeding sessions. Many parents pair with the Lena Ottoman for additional comfort during these stretches.

Will the tassel trim hold up over time?

The French-inspired tassel trim is hand-finished and built to last. With regular gentle care and minimal pulling, it will hold its shape well. Avoid letting pets or children tug at the trim, and keep away from direct sunlight to maintain its colour.

What pairs well with the Lena Glider?

The matching Lena Ottoman is the natural first pairing. The Orly Bedside Table works beautifully alongside the chair for night feeds. To complete the nursery, the Sacha Wardrobe and the Louvre or Ciel Plinths are considered companions.

How is the Lena Glider delivered?

Due to its size and the upholstery, the Lena is delivered by freight courier. Metro deliveries typically arrive within 2-4 business days after dispatch. Rural and regional areas may take 5-10 business days. You'll receive tracking information once your order has been dispatched.
